Kelly Cooper
Dr. Kelly Cooper is a veterinarian, executive coach, and practice consultant who helps women veterinary practice owners stop surviving their businesses and start leading them. In the early years of ownership, many ambitious, dedicated doctors find themselves working long hours, managing every detail, and carrying the weight of every decision. Dr. Kelly understands that reality—because she has lived it.
She spent 16 years as the owner of a rural veterinary practice before moving into corporate leadership, where she spent 11 years leading strategic initiatives and operations across a national network of hospitals. Having worked on both sides of the profession, she brings a rare perspective on what actually separates practices that stall from those that become extraordinary.
Today, through Reality Vet Coaching & Consulting, Dr. Kelly works with veterinary practice owners across the country to help them step fully into leadership. Her work focuses on leadership clarity, team accountability, and the operational discipline required to build extraordinary teams and practices—ones that perform at a high level without depending on the owner to carry everything.
Dr. Kelly believes extraordinary practices do not happen by accident. They are built by leaders willing to face reality, raise their standards, and expect more from themselves and their teams. She speaks nationally on leadership, team development, and practice management and serves as Vice Chair of the AVMA Council on Veterinary Services.
